American Paint Horse


The American paint horse stands between 14.2 and 16.2 hands high.You can tell that it is this breed because they are a solid stock horse conformation; striking colour patterns. Major patterns are tobiano (regular spots, white extending across back; often four white sockings and blaze or star on face, multicoloured tail) and overo (irregular, splashy white markings not extending across back;at least one leg coloured; often a bald or bonnet face; tail of one colour).Their special qualities are Versatility, athleticism, gentle temperament. They are best suited for western competition, ranch work, trail riding, and all working and pleasure disciplines. Found in the American West
